Bob Dylan — Idiot Wind (Hard Rain TV Film, 1976). Audio upgrade to the new low generation copy of the film
From the officially released Hard Rain (1976) CD.
The audio that I used is from the official Bob Dylan Hard Rain live CD (1976).

I did this previously with a different copy of the film, but thanks to The Caretaker / Woolhall (youtube), there is a new, higher quality picture, low generation version to watch.
“Several UK programs were leased to other countries for broadcast, the country usually got a U-Matic copy to screen. A while ago The Caretaker found access to one such company and after some time and expense now own the BBC OGWT (Old Grey Whistle Test) episode from that station” — The Caretaker / Woolhall
Idiot Wind from the Hard Rain live album, is a recording of the same performance, but lining up this higher quality CD audio with the film footage (from this U-Matic tape) is not that straight forward (I had a similar scenario with previous copies of the film — this one I think was even a little more tricky).
The speed of the film changes ever so slightly throughout. The film and the original film audio from the source are in synchronisation, but gradually changing speed together throughout (not noticeable, until you attempt to line up audio from the official CD release). The audio here is the straight audio from the CD, not changed at all — I have slightly changed the speed of the footage in varying amounts throughout so that this audio stays in sync (If left to it’s own accord it is about a second out of sync by end, and other amounts at other times). I did this manually by gradual speed changes of the footage (It took me quite a bit of time, but quite enjoyable to get it lined up) — I’ve not used any automatic processing to manipulate the footage or anything like that (I don’t know anything about those ways, or if that is possible!..).
Here it is, with the audio upgrade.
Idiot Wind. Fort Collins, Colorado, 23rd May 1976.
If that won’t play (In the US), maybe this one will:
.. and here is the full film, on Woolhall’s Youtube Channel. Thank you again to him for getting hold of this new low generation version.

I am also in the midst of typing up something about another finding with a Bob Dylan painting / paintings — I might post that later on tonight.
