Bob Dylan—Key West (Philosopher Pirate). Belfast night two / and other recordings and paintings

“I wrote that at Ernest Hemingway's house—It seemed like the spirits just wrote it”

That was a magical Rough and Rowdy Ways Show last night! Magic and revolution in the air. They played Going Down to Bangor by Van Morrison at the end. Bob’s voice all night was so good. Thank you to Bob Dylan and his band.

My Own Version of I’ve Made Up My Mind to Give Myself to You was really beautiful. My Own Version of You again was great. The musical trail from the first note to the last. Mysterious shadow kingdom and the land of light—the sun was shining bright.

I've Made Up My Mind to Give Myself to You

I will update this page with more notes / recordings — Here is the last song of the night though. Van Morrison’s Going Down to Bangor.

The last notes of Every Grain of Sand rang out—Bob stood up, moved to the side of his piano—The standing applause and cheers from the audience reverberated around the Waterfront Hall—and then with his left hand he played a few notes on the piano, moved back towards the centre of the piano, played a few notes with both hands—The cheers became louder… and then this—

After the song Bob walked to the centre of the stage, next to Tony Garnier… and with the rest of the band—Doug Lancio, Anton Fig, and Bob Britt—They stood for a minute or so ~ Bob Dylan raising his hands and showing his appreciation to what was a great Belfast audience.

Bob Dylan and the band left the stage — The applause and cheering continued for a couple of minutes… Bob and the band returned to the stage—Bob now wearing a black coat with his hood up. Hand raised. It really was great. There were hugs, laughter and tears in the audience.
