I am glad to see that the painting ‘Open Window’ is one of the paintings on display at the exhibition.
Around this time last year I found that the woman in the window here appears briefly in the 1948 documentary film, In The Street, by Helen Levitt. This silent film was shot in the mid-1940s in the Spanish Harlem section of New York City.
Here is the silent film put together with some of Bob Dylan’s music —
Another painting currently on display at the Halcyon Gallery, London is Hole In the Wall — 2020 Acrylic on Canvas 91.6 x 122.1 cm.
Check out the Halcyon Gallery website for more details, and see the paintings in person at the exhibition until the 2nd March, 2025. 29 New Bond Street, London.
A Complete Unknown opens across cinemas in the UK tomorrow, 17th January, 2025.
