The work is evocative in the manner of Edward Hopper. I look over the paintings and feel the nostalgia, a thoughtful artist whose creativity doesn’t waver. Also, Bob’s more recent paintings show studied improvement, particularly in drawing the figures. Doing this work is deep and gratifying for him, I am sure.
