Oh my gosh, nothing if not illuminating. I wasn't sure what Dylan was up to with "Philosophy...," now I know - he was writing. Not necessarily about the songs, only maybe. He was using them as a jumping off place for work as imaginative as Bill Burroughs - but, dare I say - better. Wouldn't have noticed, and the book would have collected dust without your readings.
