Directed by William Friedkin

The Brink's Job. 1978. Directed by William Friedkin. Starring Peter Falk, Peter Boyle, Allen Garfield, Warren Oates, Gena Rowlands, and Paul Sorvino.

Painting by Bob Dylan. Night Time St. Louis. 2020.

Acrylic on canvas. 91.5 x 152.5 cm.

I notice that ‘Egleston Diner’ has been changed to ‘Luncheonette’ in the painting. ‘America’s Largest Selling Cigar’ remains, but ‘Phillies’ has been changed to ‘Te-Amo’ — Also, it looks to be quite a different kind of car that has been painted.

The film is is based on the Brink's robbery of 1950 in Boston.

Phillies — Phillies is a brand of cigar in the United States. They were originally made in Philadelphia. Interestingly a Phillies cigar sign feature in Edward Hopper’s 1942 painting Nighthawks —

Te-Amo cigars were first introduced by the Turrent family. The brand has grown to represent quality and tradition in the cigar world, with a focus on hand-rolled cigars using Mexican tobacco. Founded in 1880.

Either way, here is he film — The Brink's Job.

Unrelated to this, last night Bob Dylan played The Times’s They Are A-Changin’ for the first time since he played it in 2010 inside the White House.

In the last few days I had got to listening to a few versions of The Times They Are A-Changin’ — Including this from Masked & Anonymous

Eindhoven, Netherlands. 17th February 1993 —
